On September 5th, the first phase of the public base of the headquarters project of XDMicro (Zhongshan) Optoelectronic Semiconductor Co., Ltd. officially began its construction. It is reported that the first batch of land supply for this project is 50 acres, and a silicon based liquid crystal display chip filling, sealing, testing, and optical and mechanical module research and production base with a building area of 66700 square meters will be constructed. It is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of over 3 million silicon based liquid crystal micro displays after completion in 2024. The smooth commencement of the project marks the settlement of the world's leading silicon based liquid crystal micro display enterprises in Torch Development Zone (Minzhong), which will play an important role in strengthening the chain of the photoelectric industry in Zhongshan City, promoting the upgrading of the photoelectric industry cluster in Zhongshan City, and improving the comprehensive competitiveness of the industry.
